Restaurant Empire

The Foodservice industry lost one of its giants today with the passing of Leroy β€œBus” Fuller, patriarch of the Fuller casual dining dynasty. Bus was instrumental in developing such lasting brands as Earls restaurants, Joey restaurants as well as the Cactus Club and many others. He was also the man responsible for bringing A&W to western Canada. Last year I had the pleasure to present Bus with the Rosanna Caira Lifetime Achievement Award at the Pinnacle Awards. He was so happy and proud to receive the distinction a few days short of his 90th birthday! His acceptance speech was the highlight of the day. Not surprisingly, he captivated and charmed the entire audience of 500 industry leaders. RIP Bus…your legacy lives on in so many ways and though you may be gone, you are not forgotten! πŸ™πŸ™πŸ™ -RCaira #joeyrestaurants #earls #cactusclubcafe #icons #leroyfuller #westerncanadarestaurants #restaurantleaders #legends #mavericks
