Dear Santa,

I hope that you, Mrs. Claus and the elves are happy and healthy at the North Pole. It’s been quite a while since my last letter. It’s not that I thought that I was too big or too cool to write you. No, I guess I figured that you had bigger problems to help solve. Don’t get me wrong. I’ve not led a charmed life.

Like everyone else, I’ve had my ups and downs but I’ve been blessed with family and friends who love me. Love is all I generally need to stay grounded. Except maybe this year, this year feels more than a little different.
